Nose Reshaping Edinburgh

Three principal areas of rhinoplasty:

Reduction:

The most frequently requested procedure is nose ‘Reduction’ — this is where the surgeon reduces the overall proportions of the nose. There are a number of options open to patients, therefore, we think this is best explained in person with your surgeon.

Nose Tip Correction:

Frequently referred to a ‘Rhino Tip Correction’, this procedure can be transformational and has the ability to completely alter the overall appearance of the nose.

By reshaping the skin, fat or cartilage and leaving the bone and tissue untouched, nose tip correction allows for a faster recovery time as it often carried out under anaesthetic with sedation with no requirement for a general anaesthetic and overnight hospital stay.

Rhino Tip Correction is used for the following complaints:, they include:

  • Large Tip
  • Hooked Tip
  • Flared Nostrils
  • Crooked Tip

Augmentation Rhinoplasty:

From time to time patients enquire about enlarging their nose. This is a slightly more technical procedure and may involve harvesting bone and cartilage from other sites in the patients’ body — it may also involve the need for surgical implants too. This procedure can be explained in detail during a consultation and may also require an overnight stay in hospital for observation.

Vectra 3D imaging

Expression Facial Surgery has invested in technology to help patients make the right decision before committing to surgery. That’s why we have invested in Scotland’s only Vectra 3D scanner. This highly sophisticated piece of equipment can scan you and then create a digital 3D image displayed on a monitor for you and your consultant to view. Your consultant will then be able to adjust the image to display what is possible before committing to surgery — this truly is revolutionary in the field of plastic surgery.
